Who We Are

Philadelphia ranks last among major American cities in economic mobility. This means that kids growing up here today are more likely to do worse than the generation before them. The Be Philly Foundation supports the organizations creating real connections between young people and the relationships, resources, and opportunities that shape their futures. We focus on people already doing the work in the neighborhoods they know, for the long haul.

What We Fund

Our grantmaking is built around one core belief: connections change outcomes. Relationships, networks, and shared experiences can open doors young people didn't know existed. We call this framework Better Together. We support project-based and general operating work that strengthens relationships and expands access to opportunity for young people in Philadelphia. We prioritize work that is sustained, community-rooted, and relationship-driven. We do not fund one-time events, sponsorships, capital projects, or work without a clear path to sustained engagement.

How We Fund

We use a Letter of Interest process to evaluate potential grantees. Start by sharing what you're building, who it serves, and how it creates connection and opportunity for young Philadelphians. If it's a fit, we'll follow up with next steps.

Grants: $25,000–$50,000

Term: Up to 12 months

Cycles: Fall and Spring
